Ultraviolet Soundtrack by Jem

2006.05.17.15.11 · 25 comments

I don’t know how you feel about Ultraviolet, it’s got a kick ass trailer but it seems to have a lot of bad reviews. I haven’t seen it myself, missed the showtime so now I gotta wait for the DVD. But I picked up the soundtrack by Jem from the trailer, it’s called 24 and I find it the best music in a while since Evanescence.

Here are the lyrics,

Been given 24 hours
To tie up loose ends
To make amends
His eyes said it all
I started to fall
And the silence deafened
Head spinning round
No time to sit down
Just wanted to
Run and run and run
Be careful they say
Don’t wish life away,
Now I’ve one day

And I can’t believe
How I’ve been wasting my time

In 24 hours they’ll be
Laying flowers
On my life, it’s over tonight
I’m not messing no I
Need your blessing
And your promise to live free
Please do it for me

Is there a heaven a hell
And will I come back
Who can tell
Now I can see
What matters to me
It’s as clear as crystal
The places I’ve been
The people I’ve seen
Plans that I made
Start to fade
The sun’s setting gold
Thought I would grow old,
It wasn’t to be

And I can’t believe
How I’ve been wasting my time

In 18 hours they’ll be
Laying flowers
On my life, it’s over tonight
I’m not messing no I
Need your blessing
And your promise to live free
Please do it for me

In 13 hours they’ll be
Laying flowers
On my life, it’s over tonight
I’m not messing no I
Need your blessing
And your promise to live free
Please do it for me

I’m not alone, I sense it, I sense it
All that I said, I meant it, I meant it

And I can’t believe
How much I’ve wasted my time

In just 8 hours they’ll be
Laying flowers
On my life, it’s over tonight
I’m not messing no I
Need your blessing
And your promise to live free
Please do it for me

In just 1 hour they’ll be
Laying flowers
On my life, it’s over tonight
I’m not messing no I
Need your blessing
And your promise to live free
Please do it for me

You can grab the MP3 somewhere (find it yourself, I’m not getting in trouble for this) and in case you haven’t watched Ultraviolet here’s the trailer that I thought was cool.

Agreed, A friend and I saw the trailer while waiting for Underworld Evolution to start up and thought… OMG… that looks sick. We both went to see it the day it came out and where highly disapointed. But one thing I must say in my opinion that makes this trailer so cool, is the song at the end. It was stressing me out trying to find the artist and title of it. And thanks to this little page, I found out pretty quick, Thanks! Picked it up on iTunes and have been listening to it non stop. Can’t get it out of my head.

The sound track is awsome. Haven’t seen the movie yet but so far it sounds like a disappointment. What I want to know is the name of the song in the trailer that comes on during the trailer right after the white outfit she has on truns red. There are no vocals to the music. I have hear it before as back ground music in other movies. Any one know? Thanks, Semisi

Semisi, the song you’re looking for is either one of these two:

- Baby’s got a Temper from Prodigy
- Clubbed to Death (Kurayamino Variation) from Rob Dougan

I don’t remember the trailer, so if it’s not Jem, then it’s one of those two.

I liked the movie, granted it was a little boring at times and seemed to drag out the story a bit too much. The fighting scenes were really neat, but some were like repeats or each other. I loved her changing clothing, and the technological aspect of all the gadgets. I’m biased when it comes to Milla Jovovich (loved her in 5th element and resident evil), but i enjoyed this movie anyway. It was not what i expected.

Hey, THANK you, I also searched for the JEM SOng since I first saw the trailer. Too bad, everybody confirmes my fears: That the film is no good.
Still I think I might watch it, just to build my own opinion.

Thanks nevertheless for the hint… :) ))

There was indie music in the movie and I love the beat, but it seems rare to find. I cant seem to find anyone that sells the soundtrack, so you guys seem to know what you are talking about…. help me?

ps, I give the movie 70/100 … in ways the movie blew me away…. but the fight scenes were…..WAY to long…eh, but other than that, well done I think.

thanks for you’re time.

This movie was great – If you take it for wot it is you will truly enjoy it. So wot if there were a couple bits of ropey dialogue – the film was visually stunning and the storyline made sense – WE LUV YA MILA!!!

Being that i work in the film industry i have to agree the film was totally rubbish, story interesting but so cliche the acting was terrible and the CG effects looked like a sub-par video game cinematic, in short i was a big ass waste of time, they made such a big deal about the fact that she could change color and it never came into the plot once they just stuck it in as a “look what we can do” type thing. it was shite

Loved the soundtrack and adored the movie. Jovovich totally rocked. Completely fit the role, especially after Resident Evil(s). although i must admit, it seems like something Disney might have come up with.

I saw the film and loved it!!! one of the things that astonished me the most was the music for the movie it was incredibly…simple, but so complex. does anyone know where i can get the soundtrack?

if you liked that, i would recommend the movie Aeon Flux.

I dnt care what anyone else thinks. I think Milla did a cool job. She is good at those fighting type action movies. I like all the moves. She kind of acts like she was Alice again in Resident Evil.
