Hybrid Phones

BenQ S700

I’ve been saving up to purchase a digital camera but with hybrid phone-cams popping up in the market these days I think I’ll just wait a little and grab myself one of these babies when they come around:

BenQ S700: tri-band GSM clamshell with a 1.3-megapixel camera with LED flash and “smooth cinema-like video display quality at 30 frames per second.”

Curitel P1: currently available only in Korea, with text-to-speech functionality, a 2 megapixel CCD camera with flash, and a large 1.9-inch LCD.

Somehow though they managed to keep these supercool phones within the Asian market! What’s up with that?

Curitel P1

PH-S3500

This PH-S3500 “Game Phone” from Pantech & Curitel would have about the same chance of penetrating the gaming market if it were a donut filled with a delicious raspberry creme.

Yumm!! :D

Time for a little personality test: when you see these new design by Vegard Thue Bjorlykke (for Afterlab), do you see:

A. The sawed-off thighs and torso of an olympic gymnast
B. Circus Titties
C. Super Speakers

If you didn’t answer C, please head to the guidance counselor’s office immediately.
