DVD to DivX

2003.06.25.11.17 · 1 comment

I’m not sure if I’m plain stupid or if rippin DVDs into DivX AVI files is really a pain in the ass. I tried usin different warez I got off the web with no luck. Yesterday I downloaded EasyDivX and I managed to crash my WinXP box tryin to get it to work~ %#@*&!

The reason I want my DVDs in DivX/Xvid format is because I hate to insert my movies into my DVD drive everytime I wanna watch them. Since I have enuff space on my HD I thot I’d rip them so I can watch off my HD.

3DSMax5

Everytime I try to run 3DSMax5 my CPU usage level goes up to 90-100% and it causes my box to stall. I’m wondering if the package is a huge resource hog or if there’s anything wrong with my box. I’ve got an Athlon-XP 1700+ with 640MB DDR. Does anyone have the same problem?

I’m not sure if there’s any truth in this but according to this article from Tom’s Hardware Microsoft is about to ‘buy’ Linux.

It all started in a small meeting in Nepal, where Microsoft’s head honchos meditate to find a better meaning of life. The claimed that building more stability into Windows was just a bad move, that it made people happy with what they’ve got and stop buying. They even talked to Richard Gere about it; what the fuck does Richard Gere have anything to do with this?? They even put this bitch as their new Vice President of Open Source Development.

This is the end of the world!!

ZBrush

I downloaded ZBrush 1.55 Demo today. It seems like a super-cool program for making stimulating art works. I haven’t done any art in months so this will be an interesting new start, it’ll be like starting from scratch again.
