G.I. Jane

Command Master Chief John James Urgayle once said:

I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A bird will fall frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.

I think I’m through feeling sorry for myself for now, it’s never done me much good anyway  .

Secretary

Got a good kick watching Secretary just now. I guess most people — me includes — has to suffer through pain before they can truly live.

Secretary - Bathe/Rope

Most people think that the best way to live is to run from pain, but a much more joyful life embraces the entire spectrum of intimate feeling. If we can fully experience pain as well as pleasure we can life a much deeper and more meaningful life.

Secretary - Pain

In one way or another I’ve always suffered. I don’t know why exactly, but I do know that I’m not so scared of suffering now. I feel more than I’ve ever felt and I found someone to feel with, to play with, to love in a way that feels right for me. I hope he knows that I can see that he suffers too, and that I want to love him.

Ahh.. sweet bullshit!!

The Passion of The Christ

I’m no religious freak but they say this is the closest anyone’s gotten to the original story in the Scripture. Gotta see!!

Aragorn and Arwen

Last night was probably one of the better nights of this year, even though my ass did hurt a bit. I finally got to watch ROTK after over a year of waiting and failing to get tickets the other night. I got a front seater so it sucked a little but I didn’t care, couldn’t've waited another day. Anyway, my 2cents:

  • It was a damn great movie, I could say the greatest I’ve seen all my life. It actually lived up expectations very well (unlike Revolutions).
  • The elves have a very beautiful, soothing language. I could listen to more elvish talk, and maybe an elvish love scene between Arwen and Aragorn.
  • The White Wizard could’ve (should’ve) used his powers more. If he could beam off the Nazguls when Faramir was falling back to Minis Tirith, then why didn’t he beam them off in the war? A wizard fighting with his stick and a sword looks a bit ridiculous. It would’ve been so easy for him to cast a spell and blast all the orcs in his perimeter.
  • Legolas was outstanding, especially when he climbed the Mamooth and took down the fleet. No wonder all the girls are crazy over him.
  • Theodon’s dying scene reminds me of Trinity’s, except that his is a lot better and Trinity’s like 1000% longer and more boring.
  • Arwen (Liv Tyler) makes me want to have an elven wife (before I wanted to have a Korean wife).
  • Poor Eowyn, that must’ve hurt; but if it wasn’t for that she probably wouldn’t have been able to take down the Nazgul. You go girl! If you don’t get Aragorn you can have me! ;p
  • The hobits are just as weak as humans. If it weren’t for Gollum attacking Frodo, we would be back right at the start all over again.
  • So where is Agent Smith taking Bilbo, Gandalf and Frodo? Hehehe…

That concludes my thoughts for the movie. If I come up with more stupid reviews I’ll be sure to edit this post! :D
