For once living in Indofucksia has one great advantage from the fast-forwarded Western world I call home. Today I get to watch Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith a few hours ahead from everyone else back home cuz I’m on G-fucking-MT +7 in this crap hole. Anyway, three more hours of work then I’m off to the theater.

And here’s an image of the original 1977 line-up at the Hollywood Chinese Theater:

The show starts in exactly 1 hour and 32 minutes (at 3:05pm IDT), I’m leaving in half an hour and I hope there won’t be a long line at the theater downtown.

Magnolia

On one random day in the San Fernando Valley, a dying father, a young wife, a male caretaker, a famous lost son, a police officer in love, a boy genius, an ex-boy genius, a game show host and an estranged daughter will each become part of a dazzling multiplicity of plots, but one story.

Through a collusion of coincidence, chance, human action, shared media, past history and divine intervention they will weave and warp through each other’s lives on a day that builds to an unforgettable climax. Some will seek forgiveness, others escape. Some will mend frayed bonds, others will be exposed.

Magnolia is a mosaic of American life woven through a series of comic and poignant vignettes. It is a portrait of a lonely city sometimes called up short on love. It is a personal exploration of the hidden elements of crisis. It is a story about putting things right again.

You may be through with the past, but the past isn’t through with you.

Battle Royale

This movie is fucked up!! But I highly recommend it if you fetish watching cute Japanese school girls kill each other unmercifully.

Warning: blood squirts and supah goreness!

The Last Samurai

I finally got around watching the Last Samurai and I gotta tell you Ender was right. I was blogging about how awesome Kill Bill was and he said “wait till you watch the Last Samurai“. Anyway, it’s an awesome awesome movie! Kill bill was awesome cuz it was something different, like a new breakthrough, but the story was a bit weak. The Last Samurai was simply an awesome movie with an awesome story and that Taka chick (Koyuki) is just damn awesome and I think I’ve been saying awesome like over a million times here but she made me want to be a peasant slash samurai for the rest of my life.. hehehe.. You gotta give it to the Japs, honor is ta shit!! Anyway I gotta crash, I think I might shoot for the May 1 Reboot so I’ll have a long day tomorrow working on the site. Nite everyone, and for those on the flip side, have a good lunch!

I had to go downtown yesterday to deliver a package from a friend in Taiwan. It was a quick drop and since I was in town already and it was a really cool cloudy day I stopped by the DVD market and grabbed these DVDs:

  • Kill Bill volume 1
  • Timeline
  • The Last Samurai
  • Torque
  • Master and Commander
  • Paycheck

I watched Paycheck and Kill Bill vol 1 last night. They were both very good movies but I gotta say Kill Bill is the awesomest movie I have ever watched. It was more like reading a book and everything was laid out perfectly. I gotta give it to Mr. Tarantino, he did an awesome work. I couldn’t help replaying the blood squirting parts and the Japanese anime — awesome scenes, so damn graphic, I love it!!

Friday feels so good, only another few hours before my crazy weekend starts!
