Project 365 – 14 Day Recap – Bandung and Jakarta

I am lagging on my Project 365 so I have to cheat a little. These are shots from my mini trip home to visit my parents (not shown). They live on a school campus in the mountains. You will see fragments of it from the shots below. The upper shots are from the buzzling metrocity of Jakarta.

I also bought an ultra wide-angle lens during my visit, the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X 116 PRO DX [read review here]. I think wide-angle photography is my new demon. Shots 062-069 were taken with the new lens.

069 – Central Park
This is a brand new mall in Jakarta. Last I was there it was just a hole in the ground. Look what sprouted out of the hole.

We drove up to the next hill to drop dad off for a meeting.

This is my brother Isaiah fooling around with a flashlight.

Met this little guy up up in the mountains. It was raining and it was cold so it was looking for some place warm to shelter. And it found us by the little bamboo hut.

The crazy brothers. And no we don’t look too much alike but we share the same lack of sanity.

Vie coping with the Bandung cold, having a cup of hot chocolate.

060 – Peeking Pups
There’s an old professor at the campus in the mountains, and these are his pups guarding (or fertilizing) his front yard.

059 – Parasite
Not sure what type of tree this is but the bark caught my attention because it was wrapped by parasitic plants with beautiful leaves.
