I received these photos from my buddy Jose just now. He’s serving in Iraq and I thought I’d post these here in honor of his hard work and sacrifice.

Please pray for his safe return, and that he doesn’t get drafted beyond his time.

Thanks =]
Yea, I’m in Okinawa, Japan. Iraq is crazy. What info do you have on your friend?
I’m currently supporting the Group which stinks, I wish I was with my old unit back in Iraq =\

Brave man. I left the forces in 1991, haven’t been called up so far. I thank my lucky stars!

I got mixed feelings about that…deep down I love the guy and want him to be ok…on the other hand I’m mad at him for going in the first place as well as supporting Bush in the election.

…supposedly he ain’t talking to me because he doesn’t like Mark anymore and I’m guilty by association…but whatever…As long as he comes back in one piece, he’s hearing an earful from me.

Hero? perhaps…but like most soldiers…ignorant that he’s a pawn in some men’s evil game.

He’s a hero for himself not for his country. ( war = evil )

Whatever he is (does) he’s my friend and I just want him to come home safe.

Christopher » He never says much about the war, but I’m guessing he’s ok, he always sounds normal. What are you doing in Okinawa man?

Alex » I’m sure he’s fighting for America man, not Bush. What the hell happened between him and Mark anyway?

We’ll talk about that over MSN ;-)

The powers that be force poor Minorities like Jose to go and die for the “country”…”country” meaning the interests of the top 1% of the country…can you say Halliburton?

About Jose…I hope he comes back and gets educated…it might make risking his life somewhat justifiable…

Thanks for Jose’s service. Let’s not make this a political thread between war/country/president/soldier — bottom line is we should all be proud of people like Jose for fighting for and defending our freedoms and rights both here and overseas.

:lol: Ain’t as easy when you know someone risking their lives just to come home to be a 2nd Class Citizen again…

Jose ain’t fighting for Freedom…he’s fighting for wealth, fighting for comfort, fighting to oppress, yet reeping none of the benefits for any of it…I may sound like a wacko, and that’s fine…but I have to say my piece….Especially when it’s MY friend over there.
