Wasted Astronauts

Sunday, February 2, 2003, 2:45 am

Six US and one Israeli astronauts died 38 miles above Texas today as their shuttle burst in mid-air. They were Shuttle Commander Rick D. Husband, Pilot William C. McCool, Payload Commander Michael P. Anderson, Mission Specialists David M. Brown, Kalpana Chawla, Laurel Clark and Israel’s Ilan Ramon. They haven’t figured the cause yet, it’s prolly too early for that. Poor guys! More on CNN.

So much for space travel… hell I wanted to be an astronaut once!

I saw Silence of the Lambs a few years back and I just saw Red Dragon a couple of weeks ago. I was still missing Hannibal so I watched it just now. This is actually the last of the trilogy, Red Dragon being the first. I never really read the books so I had no idea what was going to happen. I really didn’t expect him to get away at the end, but he did. I guess evil is still around us! BEWARE!!!

Would Bush really risk a nuclear holocaust in order to gain control of the world’s largest oil source? More on CNN.

Personally I hate the idea of war, it destructs nations that people have long suffered and persevered to build. I do like watching war movies tho, they give me the chills, especially during those quiet scenes when soldiers live one second and die another. To be honest I don’t really care now, but maybe if I ever joined the Marines back in ’96 I would’ve been a bit more excited about putting my combat trainings into practice! :D
