It’s Mother’s Day and I took my mom and dad to this new Mexican restaurant in town. It’s just down the street from where I live and the place has a nice atmosphere, very cozy. The entrance walls were decorated Mex-style and the floor is all old wood. It has that nice old time cowboy feel. The place is called Amigos and it’s just become one of my favorite places to hang out. Food was good and the live music and tone of lighting were just right. Lunch for three and it only costed me ~$20. That’s all right for me these days but it’s a lot for most of my local friends, so I wouldn’t count on going there a lot unless I want to dine alone. Happy hours are from 5pm-7pm and drinks are 50% off then.
If you’re in town and you wanna check it out give me a buzz. I could use a friend to sit down with a margarita and listen to some country music with.
Note: Sometimes they let the guests sing (live karaoke) and then the music becomes awful. LOL.

my mom died two months ago. i used to take her to lunches in nice little restaurants, too.
